There are two Care Homes (Willowthorpe and Belmont View) in ou r Benefice and we visit each of them regularly once a month.

The servic e is designed to be accessible to everyone including those residents who h ave memory problems, and we welcome people from all Christian denominatio ns.

We sing and pray together, listen to a Bible reading and enjoy hav ing church. We have at least four hymns, chosen to reflect the church sea sons and celebrations, and to engage with the long term memories of resid ents. We offer Communion or a Blessing at the end of the service and respe ct the choice and traditions of everyone who comes.

Join us for this annual Rogation Sunday service at the old Par ish Church of St James and Beating the Bounds walk that will follow the se rvice on Sunday 25th May.

At 11am, we will hold a service at St James ‘ Church (on Roydon Road) thanking God for the land and praying for a bles sing for the harvest. At approximately 12pm, we will go on a Beating the Bounds walk. Please wear sensible shoes, bring a bottle of water and perh aps a picnic too! The ‘beating the bounds’ walk, which was traditiona lly an opportunity to re-establish the Parish boundaries, is a fantastic opportunity to explore the extreme edges of your Parish on foot. Maps and instructions will be available. This is a led, family friendly walk, so fun for the whole family!

Make Lunch Club offers a chance for you and your school-aged c hildren (and their younger siblings) to get together, share a meal and ha ve some fun during the school holidays.

Make Lunch Club is for you if y our school-aged children are eligible for free school meals or if you’re struggling on a tight budget at the moment. Younger siblings are welcome too!

The servic e is designed to be accessible to everyone including those residents who h ave memory problems, and we welcome people from all Christian denominatio ns.

We sing and pray together, listen to a Bible reading and enjoy hav ing church. We have at least four hymns, chosen to reflect the church sea sons and celebrations, and to engage with the long term memories of resid ents. We offer Communion or a Blessing at the end of the service and respe ct the choice and traditions of everyone who comes.

There are two Care Homes (Willowthorpe and Belmont View) in ou r Benefice and we visit each of them regularly once a month.

The servic e is designed to be accessible to everyone including those residents who h ave memory problems, and we welcome people from all Christian denominatio ns.

We sing and pray together, listen to a Bible reading and enjoy hav ing church. We have at least four hymns, chosen to reflect the church sea sons and celebrations, and to engage with the long term memories of resid ents. We offer Communion or a Blessing at the end of the service and respe ct the choice and traditions of everyone who comes.

There are two Care Homes (Willowthorpe and Belmont View) in ou r Benefice and we visit each of them regularly once a month.

The servic e is designed to be accessible to everyone including those residents who h ave memory problems, and we welcome people from all Christian denominatio ns.

We sing and pray together, listen to a Bible reading and enjoy hav ing church. We have at least four hymns, chosen to reflect the church sea sons and celebrations, and to engage with the long term memories of resid ents. We offer Communion or a Blessing at the end of the service and respe ct the choice and traditions of everyone who comes.

Every last Saturday of the month, we hold a Benefice Breakfas t at The Wilshere Hall, which is open to everyone. It’s the perfect combi nation of conversation, enthusiastic debate and a full English breakfast!
